Abstract Knowledge of a material’s thermal stability under extreme synergistic particle and heat loads is crucial for developing high performance reactor materials. In this work, the recrystallization behaviour tungsten influence hydrogen investigated by low energy flux plasma exposure various lengths time. The microstructural changes following are probed micro-indentation, electron back-scatter diffraction measurements characteristic time assessed using Johnson–Mehl–Avrami–Kolmogorov (JMAK) model. A activation in range 425 to 440 kJ.mol-1 determined, identical that oven annealed samples, thereby indicating an insignificant on kinetics tungsten.
